CECAMASA installs a ZAYER bridge milling machine in Navarra

In this post we are pleased to inform you that CECAMASA has installed a second-hand ZAYER milling machine in Navarra. Yes, we have done it again. Another customer satisfied with a used machine from our warehouses in Parets del Vallès (Barcelona). And we are not talking about just any machine, but about a bridge milling machine from the renowned Basque brand ZAYER with generous dimensions: a longitudinal travel of 6,000 mm, 3,550 mm in transverse and 1,250 mm vertically. To those travels it must be added its double table system. A system that allows our customer to have a palletized bridge milling machine with two working areas of 3,000×2,000 mm or a combined 6,000×2,000 mm. And with a distance between columns of 2,800 mm.

Another relevant aspect to highlight of this exceptional machine is its thousandth head, which can rotate the two bodies at the same time while the spindle rotates.

It also has internal cooling, a 100-tool magazine and two chip conveyors.

Its technical specifications make this bridge milling machine a very versatile machine for heavy machining. It is not surprising that the client that has acquired it is a company based in Navarra that is dedicated to supplying sectors such as wind, aeronautical and nuclear. A company that can machine parts up to 10,000 mm in outside diameter. The nature of its activity means that it has opted for a milling machine such as the ZAYER KPCU 6000 AR DT.

Installing a machine of these dimensions has not been an easy process, but our team of technicians has vast experience in the field. Although the foundation has been carried out by the client, he has been advised by our workshop manager. Here are some photos of the assembly process:

The installation has been completed in two weeks and we are proud to tell you that, once the relevant tests have been carried out, this used bridge milling machine is at optimal working levels with geometry and precision comparable to that of a new machine. Also, at the customer's request, the machine has been equipped with part measurement and tool measurement probes from the prestigious Renishaw brand. Although the integration of the probes has been carried out by Renishaw specialists, our team has adapted the machine, enabling the corresponding functions, so that this integration was possible.
