We took production capacity to the next level: this was the installation and commissioning process of a high-performance machining giant in Navarra

Recently, the team of technicians CECAMASA has successfully completed the installation and commissioning of a spectacular ZAYER 30 KCU 16000 AR traveling column machine at the facilities of a leading client in Navarra.

This client, leader in sectors as demanding as railway, automotive and mechanization of large metal structures, needed a solution that combined extraordinary work volume with unusual cutting power. And ZAYER's “AR” (High Performance) range was the perfect answer.

Technical assembly and perfect geometry adjustment: The value of the CECAMASA team

Installing a machine of these dimensions (no less than 16 meters of travel on the X axis!) is a real logistical and engineering challenge. As can be seen in the photographs captured by our operators during the process, the work has required millimeter planning.

Our specialist technicians have taken care of the entire process: from the assembly of the robust column to the technical leveling and the perfect geometry fit. Leaving a 16 meter machine with centesimal tolerances is a task that only a team with CECAMASA's experience can guarantee. Thanks to this meticulous set-up work, the client now has the milling machine performing at 100%, ensuring impeccable repeatability and precision in the machining of heavy and large parts.

This used moving column milling machine is not just any machine; is the model top of the brand ZAYER, designed specifically for general, wind, petrochemical and large structures machining.

These are the key features that make it a productivity beast:

• XL Dimensional Capacity: An impressive work field with routes of 16.000 x 1.500 x 3.500 (X/Y/Z)

• High Performance Heads (Pick-up): Equipped with the famous ZAYER millesimal head (bodies A and B moving simultaneously with the spindle rotating) and a boring head d’ANDREA UT 5/500 S, capable of boring diameters of up to 800 mm.

• High-end tables: It has clamping plates Rübenach (STÖLLE's premium line) totaling 14 meters of fixed surface, combined with a rotary table PEISELER with the capacity to support up to 20 tons.

• Automation and control: warehouse for 100 tools (with vertical and horizontal loading), control HEIDENHAIN iTNC 530 and operator cabin with elevation to guarantee maximum safety and visibility.
